Bold 3 Commercial 1988 UK


 Bold was originally introduced in the United States in 1965, and was launched in 1974 as the UK's first low suds biological detergent. In 1982, it was relaunched as the country's only combined detergent/conditioner, and has been a popular product since.


In 2004, the Bold 2in1 detergent/conditioner product was given a packaging revamp.

Tennents Ale Commercial UK 1988


 Tennent Caledonian is a brewing company based in Glasgow, Scotland.


It was founded in 1740 on the bank of the Molendinar Burn by Hugh and Robert Tennent. It is owned by C&C Group plc, which purchased the Tennent Caledonian Breweries subsidiary in late August 2009 from Belgian brewing company Anheuser-Busch InBev (formerly known as InBev).


The company produces Tennent's Lager, Scotland's market leading brand of pale lager since it was first produced at the Wellpark Brewery in 1885.

ITV Television South ID UK 1988

Television South (TVS) was the ITV franchise holder in the South and South East of England between 1 January 1982 at 9.25 am and 31 December 1992 at 11.59 pm. The company operated under various names, initially as 'Television South plc' and then following reorganisation in 1989 as 'TVS Entertainment plc', with UK broadcasting activities undertaken by subsidiary 'TVS Television Ltd'.

During its 11-year history, TVS produced a number of notable programmes for the ITV network especially in the fields of drama, light entertainment and children's programming. It was also a significant regional broadcaster producing a wide range of programmes for its area with the flagship being the nightly award-winning news programme Coast to Coast produced as two separate editions for the South and South East.

TVS ceased broadcasting on 31 December 1992 after losing its franchise to Meridian Broadcasting during the review of franchise holders in 1991. The company was sold to the US firm International Family Entertainment in 1993.

Bensons for Beds is a British bed retailer, selling a diverse range of beds, mattresses and bedroom furniture across its 170+ stores and online.

Headquartered in Accrington, Lancashire, Bensons for Beds has a dedicated manufacturing site based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, where more than a third of its beds, divans and mattresses are made, as well as distribution centres in Ayr, Huncoat and Tewkesbury.

The printing press of the Sunday Express was first started by Lady Diana Manners on 29 December 1918. It was edited by Michael Booker from 2018 to 2021 when he left for GB News. Its circulation in December 2022 was 153,377.

Anglia TV UK ID 1988

ITV Anglia, previously known as Anglia Television, is the ITV franchise holder for the East of England. The station is based at Anglia House in Norwich, with regional news bureau in Cambridge and Northampton. ITV Anglia is owned and operated by ITV plc under the license name of ITV Broadcasting Limited.

ITV Anglia broadcasts to Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, northern Hertfordshire, northern Buckinghamshire and the southeastern fringes of Lincolnshire. Its principal program nowadays is ITV News Anglia which is split into two regional editions, both airing at 18:00 on weekdays and various times at weekends.

Admittedly I am on the other side of the pond, so to speak, but I was chuffed to come across a tape that had some off air broadcasts of ITV programming from the 1980s

As a Canadian, I have a passing familiarity of British customs, but is a bit of a foreign concept for me - but actually this would be a nice thing to do over here :)
