Before coming to CHCH in 2001, Oakville native Bob Cowan was heard on the radio in the Nation’s Capital before making the transition to television in Ottawa as host of ‘The Bob Couch’. He was later seen nationally on the Global Television network and on Inside Entertainment interviewing stars from Los Angeles and New York.

Bob was among the first to provide a glimpse from inside Canada’s newest submarine HMCS Victoria writing for globalnews.ca and The SubCommittee Report magazine internationally. Bob also took part in providing live reports from Reykjavik, Iceland and RAF Coningsby, UK in the historic transatlantic flight of the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum’s Lancaster bomber for the Reunion of Giants. The last two airworthy WWII Lancaster bombers reunited over the skies of England in 2014.

Bob is deeply entrenched with many organizations such as the Halton Children’s Aid Foundation and served as the honorary chair of City Kidz, an organization dedicated to making a positive impact on at-risk children. He volunteers his time emceeing many charitable events.

Bob hosts the automotive feature Shift on CHCH and his reviews have appeared in newspapers and magazines across the country as well as online on carpages.ca and MSN Canada.

Along with co-host Annette Hamm, the always entertaining Bob Cowan uses his unique brand of humour to wake up viewers on Morning Live, airing weekday mornings from 6-10am on CHCH.
